Understanding Project Access Controls

Slater allows team admins to decide how projects are shared within the team. Access can be managed globally for the whole team or individually for specific projects.

Automatically Share Projects with Your Team

• Navigate to the team page.
• Locate the setting labeled "Automatically share projects with team members".
• Toggle this setting on to allow all team members to access every project by default.
  • When enabled, every team member gains access to all current and future projects within the team.
• Toggle this setting off to restrict automatic project access.
  • When disabled, projects are only accessible to those who have been explicitly granted access.

Manually Share a Project with Team Members

When automatic sharing is turned off:

1. Go to the Projects page.
2. Find the project you wish to share.
3. Click the gear icon on that project.
4. Select "Manage access" from the dropdown menu.
5. Toggle access on or off for specific team members as needed.

Access Control Permissions

• Only team admins can manage these settings.
• Regular team members will not see the option to change global or project-specific access controls.
